Meteora Greece

Meteora Greece, is a extraordinary place of “Suspended in the air” (that’s the meaning of the Greek word Meteora) rocks located in the region of Thessaly, central Greece. It is a unique area of standstones in an valley of forested hills with unique flora, part of UNESCO the World Heritage Site.

According to chemical research and analysis it seems that Meteora created about 60 million years ago around the Tertiary period. The monasteries of Meteora Greece, is the unique paradigm of the real Orthodox Christianity monastic faith building monasteries on a 400 m inaccessible top of rocs.
